I received my masters from Kean University in their dual masters program for Licensed Professional Counselors as well as School Counseling. I have worked in various settings including Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, intensive out patient programs (substance abuse and mental health) as well as dual diagnosis partial care programs. I am a passionate advocate for eating disorder awareness. I serve as a Chapter Leader for a local eating disorder volunteer group, and participate in volunteer events with the National Eating Disorder Association. Recently, I became certified by NEDA (National Eating Disorder Association) as a Body Group Facilitator. I facilitate groups for young women in college and high school about rejecting the appearance ideal and that promote body positivity for all shapes and sizes. I have also worked in college settings as a mentor for undergraduate students on academic probation. I advised students on things like striking a school/work/life balance, academic achievement, and time management. I have also worked at middle and high schools as a school counselor on all issues including bullying, LGBT, behavioral and academic problems, etc.

Therapy should not just be about helping clients survive, but I want all my clients to thrive. I am all about empowering clients to live their best life possible. No matter how long you have been struggling with your issues, I am confident we can work together to come up with results that make you feel inspired. The goal of all my sessions is for my clients to leave the room feeling better than when they walked in. I am approachable, kind, and caring. I understand it is a big first step to come to counseling, and I commend you for taking that leap of faith. My approach is humanistic, and I believe a therapist should have unconditional regard for their clients. Mindfulness is a hobby of mine and I run meditation groups.

In my spare time, I like to drink coffee (a must!), jog and play with my Beagle named Gordon Ramsay.
