The Anatomy Shop Physical Therapy is a small private practice clinic that specializes in orthopedics and sports medicine. We pride ourselves in providing high quality one on one care in a non-institutional pleasant airy space. Patients will only be seen by licensed therapists and will get the same therapist every visit. We do not utilize aides, assistants or trainers which allows us to accomplish more in fewer than average visits. Unlike many corporate settings, we do not operate a high volume clinic based on profit. Our therapists are experienced and committed to their craft, providing excellent care and very high levels of patient satisfaction. If you are looking for an alternative to the traditional therapy experience, then we are for you! Conditions treated: Sports injuries, neck/back pain, post surgical conditions such as total hip or knee replacement, knee ligament reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, work related injuries, and motor vehicle accidents. Treatments: Your physical therapy treatment will be based on a careful evaluation and history and tailored to your lifestyle and goals. All patients will receive instruction in a home exercise program which will be carried out initially in the clinic and practiced until proficient. Follow-up visits will be used to advance the program as needed. Posture and movement analysis are key components to treatment. Painful conditions can often be attributed to faulty posture and movement patterns. Successful treatment involves identifying and altering these faulty patterns to assure the problem does not come back. Manual therapy is a key component and is used in most cases. Other treatments such as ultrasound, electric stimulation, iontophoresis, and traction, are utilized to treat painful and stiff areas. Back, knee, and ankle braces, taping, orthotics, home electric stim units, exercise balls, and cold packs can all be provided or ordered for patients at very nominal costs. Every effort is made to work with insurance networks to make sure equipment is paid for.
