The Barking Crab is that eating establishment that looks like a circus tent stationed on the outset of South Boston. Inside are benches and scattered plastic tables, fish replicas, bathroom buoys, a squished assortment of young financial district employees getting tanked and some Southie fishermen!
The Crab Sandwich is rather tasty, not to be mistaken with The Crab Salad Sandwich which I have heard to be rather disappointing. If you order the hard shell crab do not expect the customary lobster crackers...o no..not at the barking crab, a rock is what you will find to break the shell of the tasty crustacean...NEATO!
All in all, The Barking Crab is not a transcendental experience because I'm sure many of the fish entrees are mediocre, but The Crabcake Sandwich and crowd should not be missed.
