About us
Brent Wilkerson, MD, is a double-board-certified neurotology and otolaryngology specialist at Prisma Health in Greenville, South Carolina. A graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Columbia, he completed his residency training in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at the University of California, Davis in Sacramento. He then completed specialized training in the treatment of ear and lateral skull base conditions through an otology and neurotology fellowship at the Michigan Ear Institute in Detroit.
Dr. Wilkerson's clinical interests focus on the treatment of ear and lateral skull base conditions. These surgeries include cochlear implantation, tympanoplasty, stapedectomy, tympanomastoidectomy, osseointegrated implantation, complex chronic ear surgery, surgery for Meniere's disease including endolymphatic sac decompressions, labyrinthectomy, vestibular nerve section, and surgeries for the treatment of skull base tumors.
Dr. Wilkerson is an active member of the American Neurotology Society, and his research interests include the management of blast-induced hearing loss and tinnitus, cochlear implantation in the elderly and hearing regeneration methods.
