I am a licensed professional counselor with over 10 years of experience providing counseling services to children, adolescents, and adults after receiving my Master of Arts in Counseling and Bachelors of Arts in Criminal Justice from Kean University. Currently, I am a doctoral student at Walden University. Certified in various areas in education, I have worked as a Special Education teacher and have extensive experience working with individuals on the Autism spectrum.

I will use a combination of techniques in the framework of the following; Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused, Mindfulness, Trauma-Informed, and Person-Centered with understanding the importance of the client playing an important role in his or her own recovery.

I believe the utmost importance is creating a feeling of safety, mutual respect, empathizing with not only what is spoken, but also what is left unsaid, but still present and felt. My commitment is to get where my clients are coming from and to understand what is important to them. As a therapist I hold these qualities to be crucial to a therapeutic relationship, transformation and healing. These are attributes I value and offer to clients in our work together. Effective psychotherapy is not simply talking about your problems. It is about working towards solutions for the things you can change and accepting the things you cannot change. In essence the goal of psychotherapy is to help you "weather" the storms of life with a greater sense of calmness and confidence so that you can continue to grow and evolve. During the work emerges out this quality of interaction and your specific goals.
