I'm so grateful to everyone at Dentistry by John Barras! I was really nervous during my appointment and the staff did everything they could to help me to feel comfortable. Dr Barras is an amazing TMJ dentist and I couldn't be happier with my treatment - this is the first time I've been symptom free in years!! I highly recommend Dentistry by John Barras to anyone in need of TMJ treatment near Houston.

After many months of ignored headaches and jaw pain, I finally decided that I couldn't continue pretending that something wasn't wrong. The jaw pain alone should have been a major indicator but hey, I've always been a procrastinator. Anyway, I looked up a TMJ specialist in Houston, found Dentistry by John Barras, and called for a consultation. After I met with him I booked the treatment appointment immediately. I can't even describe how nice it was to not have the typical judgmental dentist "well, why did you wait for so long??" attitude. Nope. He was straightforward, told me exactly what was going on and exactly how he would treat it, no judgment involved whatsoever. Probably the coolest dentist I have ever met. 10/10 recommend if you ever need TMJ treatment.
