Had problems with furnace on Sun. and tried to reach Boise heating and cooling pros. For whatever reason, they didn't get my message. I ended up having another Boise plumbing company come out.
My unit had quit working and my thermostat was blank. By the time the other Boise HVAC company came, the unit had come back on, and the thermostat was back on. The heating and air Boise technician wasn't sure what was wrong. He went upstairs and found "nothing wrong". He offered to replace my whole unit, or the "zoned board". He could have that done the next day at several thousands, or hundreds of dollars, still without not really knowing what the problem was. The unit quit again that Sun. night and we were headed into the hottest day of the year without heat.
Boise heating and air conditioning called early AM on Monday and he had the office schedule an appt. as soon as they had an opening. Chris called me later and let me know when he would arrive. He was here only about a half hour and my furnace was working. He had found a melted wire in the junction box upstairs. He, and Ed (by way of a follow up by phone) apologized for taking so long to get back with me.

Drain Pro Plumbing and heating gave me a free written estimate for the installation of a new toilet in the guest bathroom and a customer-supplied shower head in the master bathroom on Monday and I had the work done on Tuesday. My old toilet was at least 30 years old and right under a low shelf in the bathroom.
I enjoyed the professionalism and reasonable cost as well as the honesty. The Boise plumbers noticed that the new toilet tank had a crack and told me that he had to take it back to the supplier. He cleaned up well, took away the old toilet and cracked tank. He got the new toilet tank and finished installation of the new toilet within a reasonable amount of time. The new toilet works well. Thank you.
The previous shower head/arm in the master bathroom was soldered and the plumber took a few attempts with some tools to remove the shower arm. The plumber did not lose his cool, was calm, and gave me a verbal estimate for the additional work. After I gave him verbal approval, the plumber went to Ace Hardware here in Boise, and obtained a new shower arm at a low cost and installed the showerhead that I obtained from Home Depot in Meridian Idaho. Again, the price for the labor and material was reasonable considering the unknown factor of the previous shower head/arm was soldered.
Drain Plumbing Boise did not insist that the shelf be cut for the toilet to be installed. Last year, I had a toilet replaced in the master bathroom for double the price from a competing plumber and the low shelf was cut. And I am having to deal with the aesthetics of the master bathroom's shelf being cut and the tile on the wall.
