"Established in 1997, Gecko Girlz has been incorporating locally sourced ingredients into their authentic Hawaiian shave ice and sweet treats.

The Rushings fell in love with the island of Hawaii during their first visit in 1997 and decided to make it their forever home. After selling their business in Wasilla, Alaska, they saw an opportunity to be closer to family on Oahu and moved to the Big Island to purchase Big Island Sweet Treats.

Using homemade recipes and healthy, locally sourced ingredients, Gecko Girlz has made it their mission to seek out the freshest options to satisfy their customers’ sweet cravings. Their use of island-grown, hand-selected ingredients means indulgence can also be healthy – and most importantly, fun! Families of all ages can enjoy a rainbow of authentically prepared and delicious flavors at Gecko Girlz."
