About us
Gifford Street Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) is located in New Bedford, Massachusetts, and offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with an addiction to heroin, prescription painkillers, or other opioids.
Adults who take part in MAT at Gifford Street CTC receive a prescription for buprenorphine, Suboxone, or methadone. These medications are safe and effective in improving patient outcomes by helping control the uncomfortable symptoms of opioid withdrawal. In addition to medications, Gifford Street CTC provides adults with counseling in the form of individual therapy, recovery and relapse prevention groups, peer counseling, anger management services, and alcohol awareness education.
