Why Choose Dr Grondel?
Expert: Dr Grondel is a board certified orthopedic surgeon. He completed double Fellowship training in both sports medicine and the shoulder, He continues to pioneer arthroscopic surgical techniques in all major joints and has instructed orthopedic surgeons in these techniques and in the treatment of sports related injuries.
Compassionate: In addition to being a surgeon, he has also been a patient. He will carefully guide you through the recovery process to help you back to full activity and enjoyment.

Dr Grondel’s Training
A graduate of Brigham Young University, Dr R Jeff Grondel received his M.D. from the University of Utah School of Medicine at Salt Lake City in 1988. After Medical School, Dr Grondel performed his Residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Oregon Health Sciences University; a Fellowship in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery at Emanuel Hospital in Portland, Oregon and a Fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder at Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center.
Dr Grondel is board certified in orthopedic surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Arthroscopy Association of North America and the American Academy of Sports Medicine.
After the completion of his sports medicine and shoulder fellowship, Dr Grondel located in southern Nevada where he has continued to pioneer arthroscopic shoulder surgical techniques. He also continues to advance arthroscopic surgery techniques in all major joints. He has advanced training in Sports Medicine and continues to promote Sports Medicine surgical techniques and Sports health. He also is involved in cartilage replacement surgery.
He has instructed orthopedic surgeons in the latest arthroscopic surgical techniques and sports related injuries. He continues to be active in orthopedic surgery education and conferences. Currently Dr Grondel serves on various committees at St. Rose Hospitals and Parkway surgery center where he is an active proponent for improvement of patient care.
