Horizon Veterinary Services is a small-animal practice using Holistic Medicine to treat disease and promote wellness. Homeopathy, Acupuncture, Flower Essences, Gemmotherapy and Reiki are our tools. Since many illnesses are related to emotional stress, the animals history - medical and lifestyle history are very important in developing a treatment plan. Educate clients about nutrition, normal animal behavior, and general health care for their animal companions. Promote animal communication with your own animal companions and with nature. Our services include the following: Acupuncture - The Chinese believe the body has energy called Qi (chi). Qi travels in pathways called meridians. During disease this energy is out of balance. Acupuncture realigns the energy, restoring normal flow in the meridians. Normal Qi flow restores health and wellness. BioMat Treatments - The BioMat combines negative ions, amethyst crystals, and far infrared heat to calm, detox, and cleanse the body at the cellular level leading to DNA repair and total body wellness. Can be used to treat arthritis, allergies, and provide pain relief. Homeopathy is based on the science of 'Like Cures Like'. Homeopathic Remedies are created from dilutions of plants and minerals. The remedy carries the energy or the 'essence' of the material it was made from. If a substance causes a symptom, its' homeopathic remedy can treat that symptom. Flower Essence Therapy - flower essences contain a vibrational energy of the flower they were made from. Dis-ease occurs when there is an imbalance of PEMS, that is the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual body. Flower essences rebalance those factors to restore health. Gemmotherapy - drainage therapy in which remedies are made from the buds or shoots of plants. These remedies stimulate the removal of toxins from cells which are then extruded from the body. Reiki - Rei is spiritual wisdom. Ki is life energy. Reiki is a Japanese Art that promotes healing by using the 'laying on hands' to funnel Universal Life Force into the patient.
