I know this is long, but PLEASE READ!
Their product does not work (at the very least, for our property) and you get stuck into a contract that they give you "such a great deal" on (it's because you'll owe them if you cancel). You end up either paying a large chunk to cancel when their products ultimately do not hold up to their claims, or have to continue paying monthly until the contract is up. Either way, it feels kind of like a scam. I am convinced that their large amount of positive reviews are due to the technicians asking for you to give them a good review so they get a monetary bonus! Their technicians are pretty great though, their products just don't work for us. (However, if you're not paying your employees enough to begin with that they have to beg to get a review, that's beyond messed up!!)
I started using Insight Pest Solutions in July of 2021. After our servicing, we expected to potentially see more pest activity for two weeks because they informed us that it may happen. Understandable! However, we were still seeing more pests than before after the waiting period, and asked for a re-service. There was still just as many, if not more pests two more weeks after that. We kept asking for re-services, taking their word that it would help and that it just "takes more and takes time". It didn't work. There was one short period where it seemed like it may have been working, until we saw spider webs all across our shower and our plants in the kitchen, spiders scurrying from our bathroom to our bedroom and in our daughter's rooms, along with huge spiders and wasps still outside. They didn't want to refund the single monthly payment that is in the contract until I verified all of our interior re-services (interior is the only re-service that counts for a refund for the month, by the way) and that we were having to move up our quarterly because of their products not working. They then agreed to refund for one month.
After more services, it almost felt like it was ACTUALLY working for about a month or so! We were stoked! Turns out, there was just significantly less pest activity due to it being incredibly cold outside because it was winter. As soon as the weather became even slightly better (faux spring) the amount of pests became overwhelming. I was very upset and emailed them to give my "157 day notice" due to them having a requirement of giving notice before cancellation or else it will automatically renew service. I was told I couldn't do that and that I would still need to contact them 30 days before my contract ended to properly cancel the service. They also inquired about why I was not happy with the service. I told them how their product just does not work, and they asked how they could make things better for me. Due to how expensive their services are to NOT work for us, and the financial struggles we are having, I was honest and told them that the only way they could truly help me was to let me out of our contract that has about 5 months left on it and not charge me the cancellation fee. They didn't respond. About a week later, I sent the same email. I still didn't get a response until I sent an email saying I was contacting the BBB and putting my experience out there. Their response was to terminate my account (by them choosing breach the contract) and charge me on top of it. I wasn't even going to write this review until they were disrespectful and ignored me for so long, and then charged me once I said I was going to write reviews. This is how they handle issues with their services not working and their customers being upset about it.
I can't say it enough that you should go with literally ANY other company for getting rid of pests. I'm so disappointed and disheartened that it didn't work and that they would just ignore my email and my honesty about everything going on and then charge me a fee when they decided amongst themselves to terminate the contract despite me saying that the only way I would cancel was if I didn't get charged the fee up front. Please save yourself so much trouble and let my unfortunate experience be a lesson to you.
