Jamie Schlifstein MS, RD

About us

Jamie is the founder of Functional Eating, LLC, a nutrition consulting practice in Palm Beach County, Florida, with offices in West Palm Beach and Boca Raton. As a dietitian and nutritionist, Jamie provides counseling to her clients and helps them chart a path to clean eating and a healthy lifestyle.

Jamie graduated from the University of Maryland in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and earned a master’s degree in nutrition from Brooklyn College in New York. After completing a dietitian internship program at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, Jamie became a registered dietitian (RD) and started working at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Manhattan in 2002.

Jamie worked with a renowned endocrinologist and clinical faculty at the Yale School of Medicine to create and implement a weight loss program for a concierge medical company’s patients for several years. In 2009, Jamie became the regional manager of several WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) clinics in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Jamie went on to work in a hospital setting while continuing to see private clients for weight loss. She now sees clients both in-person and via virtual consultations.

Jamie has been a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics since 2002 and is licensed in the state of Florida.
