We work with ALL insurance companies to report glass claims. As far as the materials we use to repair your vehicle, we only buy new glass from our suppliers. The urethanes or glues that we use are made by SIKA which we believe are the best on the market. We also do chip repairs. Repairing a 'chip' often saves the customer from replacing the entire windshield. Most insurance companies will waive your deductible for a chip repair. This service can be done at our shop or at the customer's location. The chip must be shorter than a dollar bill if it is a line crack or smaller than a quarter if it is star-shaped. Also, the damage cannot go off of the side of the glass. If the damage is directly in front of the driver's line of vision, it might be better to have a new windshield installed. Call us for more information. Side mirrors are also available for purchase. If the backing plate assembly is still intact and the only damage is the mirror, we can order a brand new mirror and install it for you. OEM equivalent wiper blades are available for purchase in our shop. The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) that is unique to your vehicle is etched into the glass of your choice. It has been documented by insurance companies as well as law officials, that if a vehicles windows have the VIN etched into them, car thieves will avoid vehicles with VIN etching. WHY? Because this etching makes these cars easily identifiable and in order to 'unload' the vehicle, they would have to replace these etched windows which would be very costly for the thief. The etching is done with an acid system right on the glass. The etching itself is very small 1/4' x 3'. We have a sticker that we place on the driver and passenger front windows that will alert any would-be thieves that the vehicle has been VIN Etched. This is an inexpensive anti-theft device for any vehicle. The etching process takes less than an hour and is permanent.
