After coming back from a day trip, my wife and I decided to stop for lunch at a place she had been to years ago and liked.
What a mistake. We were seated and served our drinks; coffees. My coffee's saucer had spilt coffee and what looked like cigarette ash (who knows what it was) on the bottom. Yuk. We then ordered our meals; prime rib dinner and sirloin tips dinner. We got our bread which tasted 2 days old, and salads, which weren't bad.
Along came our dinners. Tough chewy prime rib and tough to cut & chewy luke warm tips. The veggies were bland, and overall, a bad experience. We were never asked about refills for our coffee (which I finished my cup during salad) until the check came. The price for 2 coffees and 2 'early bird specials'? $40.00.
After calling the manager later in the day regarding our experience, my wife, who did not know the waitresses name, was told 'how do you expect me to do anything if you're not here.
Please learn from our lesson-plenty of other places to eat in the area.
