About us

I was inspired to enter medicine by my father, who was a general surgeon. I chose dermatology because it combines clinical, surgical, and microscopic work. During my residency, I learned about Mohs surgery, a technique used to treat skin cancer. After my dermatology residency, I was accepted by Dr. Fred Mohs, the procedure's inventor, to do a fellowship under his guidance.
When treating patients, I explain everything we are doing during the procedure. My goals are to remove the tumor and minimize the size of the wound. After I remove the tumor, the skin around it undergoes microscopic analysis to make sure there are no more cancerous cells. After surgery, I advise the patient on whether surgical repair or natural healing is the right option for them.
The patient is an active participant throughout the procedure. I always give postoperative recommendations and supplies to the patient. The patient's comfort and well-being are the measure of success.
