A Martha's Bakery opened its doors in 1972 in NYC in the Hell's Kitchen area, serving the neighborhood with the old American dessert classics. After a successful takeoff, in the late 1980s, we decided to take Martha's Bakery to a new level. We relocated in Astoria first at 34-08 31st Avenue and expanded our menu to include not only the American classic recipes, but the new American classics like 8 varieties of our famous pound cakes, strawberry shortcakes, apple pies and our famous butter cream cupcakes.
