Metamorphosis Fitness does exactly what its name implies – we transform lives through fitness and exercise. It is the mission of Metamorphosis Fitness to provide a non-judgmental space for people to pursue all levels of fitness and health by focusing on each person’s unique needs and individuality. Whether you sign up for group classes or personal training, the staff at Metamorphosis Fitness is dedicated to helping you squelch that voice that says “I can’t”.
We teach broad functional fitness by utilizing high intensity and constantly varied workouts that are designed to maximize your metabolic response. Our workouts address the total body in a meaningful way that allows you to complete daily living activities, as well as participate in high level physical activities. Each workout is scalable and modifiable to accommodate any person no matter where you are in your fitness journey.
ABOUT CHRISTINA ELLS
As the founder of Metamorphosis Fitness, I feel you should know my story. By understanding where I come from, you will realize why I understand how to help you reach your goals.
In 2002, I weighed my heaviest at 240 pounds. A combination of bad luck and bad choices had taken me from a healthy weight and lifestyle to a near sedentary lifestyle. I found myself wondering how I had gotten there, what wrong turns I had made, and how I might be able to turn things around again. It all felt so overwhelming, and I didn’t know where to start. I knew one thing to be true – I would have to take the journey one step at a time.
I realized that in order to start my journey, I’d have to put one foot in front of the other. And so, I began to move. Every day I moved. Some days were better than others, and I began to feel stronger and could move farther and for longer distances.
I began researching and asking questions. Growing up a competitive athlete had given me some skewed thoughts about food and nutrition, and I realized my preconceived notions about food were completely wrong. It was probably the most liberating part of my journey. I had to re-learn how to eat, what to eat, and how much to eat. It was a lot of trial and error, and a lot of dedicated hard work.
Fast forward to 2017. I have spent 15 years working on my health and my fitness. I work out regularly, race Obstacle Course races and 5k’s, snowshoe, and run amuck with my two children. I didn’t just arrive here. I worked hard, I committed to the change, I didn’t give up even when I desperately wanted to, and I believed in myself.
My message to you is this: It can be done. I have nothing but faith in every person that wants to make this change. Believe it and live it, and you can achieve amazing possibilities and results. Metamorphosis Fitness is here to guide you along the journey.
