Parkway Village used to be a wonderful place to live, but in the past 10 years costs have skyrocketed and the tenants that are left over are the one's who are suffering. The maintenance is extremely high, highest in all queens co-ops. Yet the board of directors refuse to join a group in which all the other co-ops have joined. This group shares ideas in regards to reducing cost and increasing revenue. Instead they would rather continue to raise the tenants costs. Parkway Village is @ least 10 million in deficit. It's really hard living here. As much as the maintenance is, if your sink leaks or toilet clogs, Parkway Village will not fix it for free. In most co-ops things like that are included in your maintenance. Take a walk around the village. You will see chipped paint, broken/ rotten porticos, broken columns, cracked uneven side walks, and rusty railings. We tenants feel trapped! Can't sell our units because the place is unkept and the maintenance is really high. Also vermin is out of control due to the lack on upkeep on the building structure (basements, brick, roofs, heating system not properly sealed after installed). Thank you Parkway Village Equities Corp for screwing us over and over! Thank you for continuing to hire more staff when you should be reducing staff! Thank you for secretly allowing your friends and family to buy units at a reduced cost and not having to pay an application fee/ undergo a back round check!. You board members are awesome jerks!
