Pescatore means 'fisherman' in Italian. In Ball Square, Somerville, Pescatore means we take great pride in our seafood.

We cook homemade and handmade Mediterranean seafood specialties fresh every day. We have a passion for serving you Italian the way its cooked back home, from the best fishcakes in the area to choice daily specials to our secret recipe tiramisu!

Pescatore also has a full liquor license and we serve a small selection of red and white wines to get started, adding bottled beers and cordials and after dinner drinks like limoncello!

All our food is cooked to order and made very much from scratch, so changing up menu items to your liking OK! Very receptive to allergies and todays healthier eating habits. Employees play their favorite music from Italy.

Oh man what a place! Hands down this is my new favorite restaurant. In fact, I'm a little apprehensive to talk it up too much because I'm afraid too many customers will ruin this place. Anyway, the first thing that struck us about the place was the entrance - there are two of them. The front entrance leads you to believe that there are only a couple chairs and tables to snack at, but then they inform you that there's a back entrance, and that's where the formal dining is. The next thing that stuck us was the staff - very attentive, and very warm. We later found out that all the wait staff are the owner's daughters. They couldn't be more sweet. They gave us personal attention, and treated us like we were long time customers. We definitely took our time eating here, which I think lends itself a bit to the way we were treated, they seemed to appreciate the pace of our stay. I had the chirino dish, wish is a Mediterranean seafood dish. Holy moly it was so fresh, so tasty, so good! I can't believe I ate the whole thing. My wife had the lobster ravioli and the look on her face said it all, she loved it. We had a bottle of Sicilian Grillo, which was very crisp and fresh. The waitress was kind enough to come over and refill our glasses for us, and placing the bottle back on ice. We had a mescal salad as well as some crab cakes as our appetizers, all very good. We rounded off our dinner with an unbelievable chocolate cake (can't remember the name), and we shared it, but my wife was too busy talking so I got to eat most of it! We were given a couple shots of limoncello, and I have to say this was the best limoncello I've ever had, and she explained why (but it's our secret). We will definitely be back, maybe even tonight with family.
