Not just another martial arts school

Approach the Purple Dragon School in Ozone Park Queens NY, and you will see a rather unimpressive building nestled between a video rental place and a small grocery store. Open the door and you will be equally unimpressed with the interior. Doesn’t look like the place you or your kids would want to study martial, or any of the other things they teach there. This humble little school however, is exactly where you want to be. The beauty is not in the building, it is in the teacher, the students, and the people who work with them. This school is not run like a business, but a family. Take a closer look, and you will see the numerous trophies. They have run out of space to put them. They win wherever they go. You won’t find fancy high-tech equipment here. You will however get personalized training from people who care. The teacher’s name is Shihan Madrid, recent recipient of the honor of being a seven degree black belt. Training is done the old fashion way, strict discipline and hard work. Go there if you want to train to win. Go and spend ten times as much in Manhattan if you want to be pampered, train in luxury, and drink designer water. Just don’t go up against one of their students in a tournament, as you will get the Dasani kicked out of you. My name is Tyrone Mohammed, father of a seven year old girl who trains with this teacher.
