Rabije’s approach to therapy is one that values transparency and communication. Educating clients about the theoretical orientations and techniques used allows the client to have control in the treatment process. Furthermore, Rabije elicits regular feedback from the clients to ensure that their goals and needs in therapy are being met. Therapy is directed towards reaching the specific goals that you have and tailoring an individualized plan to achieve them. Rabije is passionate about creating a supportive and safe environment that fosters growth, healing, and self-awareness.

Using a strengths-based approach, Rabije works collaboratively to identify and build upon the strengths that each client already possesses. Collaboration is a vital aspect in the therapeutic relationship, where we work alongside one another to create a more fulfilling life.

Rabije uses an integrative approach to therapy that primarily consists of cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness and meditation. While those are the primary theoretical orientations, a variety of techniques are used to meet individual needs. Rabije believes in providing evidence-based therapy to all populations, through the recognition and inclusion of the unique identity of individuals reflected in their beliefs, cultural traditions, and viewpoints.

Rabije is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Illinois. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). During her time at UIC, she worked in a clinical research lab that conducted studies on depression and anxiety. Through this opportunity, she worked as a research assistant and worked closely in conducting research experiments and collecting data. She received her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adler University in Chicago. During her time, she participated in a social justice practicum that worked with non-for-profit agencies that served low income families in the Chicago Suburbs. Her clinical experience involves working with adolescents, young adults, and adults in a therapeutic day school setting. Rabije has experience in conducting individual, group, and family therapy.

In her free time, Rabije enjoys cooking, painting, and taking walks through nature. Additionally, she enjoys exploring the many wonderful natural parks that are scattered throughout Illinois. Also, Rabije practices meditation regularly and incorporates it into her practice when clients are open to exploring the benefits of meditation.
