Shazia Amar, DPM

Dr. Shazia Amar is a podiatrist and a great listener. She thrives for better and quality care for her patients. She listens to all her patient's need and patients feel involved in decision about their treatment. She believes in empowerment for her patient. Dr. Amar began her medical career doing research for a pathologist. A biochemistry and chemistry major in college, she considered becoming a pediatrician before she discovered podiatry and decided to become a foot doctor. NYC seemed the logical place to study and start her practice. Dr. Shazia Amar believe that being a doctor is not just about medical expertise, because compassion and understanding are an integral part of the healing process.
