Always interested in fashion and style, Alexandra Ryan of ShowMeStyle in Boston would often be asked for wardrobe help and advice from friends, family and colleagues. After four years of working and traveling for EF Education, a worldwide corporation, Alexandra decided to launch her career as a personal stylist.

ShowMeStyle was born, offering a wide variety of services that range from personal shopping, closet cleansing and coaching, special event shopping, style workshops, and organization. From musical artists and actors cultivating their individual look and image, to the busy everyday professional ShowMeStyle of Boston's client list is as diverse as they come. Alexandra has worked with public officials, CEOs, candidates for elected office, and stay-at-home moms. She has conducted workshops for businesses large and small, non-profits, professional organizations, and colleges.

Alexandra's work has been spotlighted in the Boston Globe Magazine, Stuff Magazine, and she has been interviewed on Kiss 108 FM. In addition, ShowMeStyle in Boston is involved with Dress For Success, an organization devoted to assisting disadvantaged women by providing professional attire for job interviews. In 2008, Alexandra completed the Boston Marathon representing the organization.

A Style Consultation is the first step to achieving great personal style. Alexandra will come to your home to assess your wardrobe needs. After doing so, she will advise you on how to capture a look that is uniquely your own, offering simple every day style tips.

The Closet Cleanse

$175, 2 hours

Alexandra will help you decide which clothes to keep, store for next season, toss, and donate. She will create a personalized shopping list with style notes and store suggestions based on your budget and the items that you need to build your wardrobe. Your closet will feel fresh and your next shopping trip will be organized, efficient, and, in the end, save you money.

The Closet Makeover

$350, 4 hours

Alexandra will help you go through your wardrobe piece-by-piece, and decide which clothes to keep and which clothes to part with. After you’re finished, Alexandra will spend time alone to re-organize and re-work your space to best fit your lifestyle. Once your closet space is organized, she will give you ideas on how to create new looks with the clothing that you already own.

Shop Your Closet 101

$150, 2 hours

Shop Your Closet 101 is a two hour lesson on the art of 'shopping' in your own closet. Alexandra will create new looks with the clothing and accessories that you already own. Once completed, you will feel inspired and excited to see your clothes and your closet in a fresh new light. So that the outfits are not forgotten as quickly as they were discovered, Alexandra will create a style sheet detailing each new outfit so that you will remember all of your options.

The SMS Virtual Closet

$350, 4 hours

Choosing your daily wardrobe and looking fabulous every day is easy with the SMS Virtual Closet. After a three hour Shop Your Closet 101 session, Alexandra will upload photos of your new outfits into your own virtual closet. You will be able to view all of your new looks online.

The SMS Shopping List

$100, 2 hours

After spending time with you and your closet, Alexandra will create a personalized shopping list with style notes, and store suggestions based on your budget and the items that you need.

Second Hand Fairy Helper

$100, 2 hours

Do you have designer clothing that you never wear but feel guilty just giving it away? Alexandra will take these designer duds off your hands and set up an account for you at a secondhand store.

The Recessionista

$275, 4 hours

The Recessionista begins with a one hour style consultation, where Alexandra will help you decide what clothes work, what don't, and what you need to build your wardrobe. After the consultation, she will create a personalized shopping list and take you on a three hour shopping trip to discount stores like TJMaxx and Marshalls.

Alexandra Ryan of ShowMeStyle in Boston will come to your home to discuss fashion Dos and Don'ts, the latest trends and closet essentials. Alexandra will bring examples of clothing, accessories, and shoes, and she will piece them together throughout the presentation to give you ideas on how to create fresh new looks with your wardrobe.
