About us

The REI Consumer (REIC) is an advocate for members of the real estate community; professionals and consumers. The organization works to promote honest and legal business in real estate by encouraging consumer insight through free education and local seminars. REIC works to form a qualified ethical group of professionals in the real estate field who will serve consumers by providing education, resources and other real estate related assistance. The combined knowledge and expertise of our board of advisors help identify the types of frauds taking place and keep on top of the ever changing tactics of scammers who seek to take advantage of real estate consumers.

The REI Consumer is not only an online organization, but also a community organization. We’re currently expanding our reach to the top major fraud infected MSAs in Florida– South Florida area MSA, Orlando MSA, and Tampa MSA. Our public outreach efforts consist of holding events and allowing the public to interview for our Consumer Advisory Council. We invite you to please get involved by participating in one of our charity fundraisers, activities, and/or to join our Consumer Advisory Council.
Although we maintain a steadfast resolution of frauds and scams in the real estate industry, we cannot guarantee a scam free industry. By working with our REIC Approved network, comprised of real estate business owners - including but not limited to Realtors, lenders, brokers, attorneys, title companies, investors, contractors, and commercial specialists - we hope to limit the risk of scams in this industry.
