Why Would someone hire a HARDWARE STORE, TO CONTRACT ELECTRICAL OR PLUMBING WORK?, THEY DO NOT CARRY THE LICENSE, TO DO THAT KIND OF MECHANICAL WORK, THEY ARE JUST CUTTING IN AS A MIDDLEMAN, COSTING HOMEOWNER MORE, WHILE THEY ADVERTISE, FOR CONTRACTORS ON ANGIE'S AND CRAIG'S LIST.. DO NOT USE THEM, JUST CALL A CONTRACTOR DIRECTLY...CHEAPER..

I have been working with CSA for about two years, for many small repairs, and one larger improvement/renovation. Brad Stearns has been reliable and resourceful, as well as personable, articulate, and courteous. He has long and wide experience and expertise, and can personally do all manner of repairs/improvements. He not only shows up, but shows up on time (not the case with many in this business!) and if there are delays, he notifies me in advance. He also has competent subcontractors at the ready, and presents clear itemized statements. I have referred him out to several other people, who have been happy with him as well. I highly recommend him and continue to use his services.

My husband and I have used CSA for a number of projects from putting up wallboard, fixing loose windows and replacing others, to sealing leaks in exterior gutters. I appreciate Brad Stearns' enjoyment of old homes, since that is what we have, and his ethic of trying to work with what we've got. I also like the fact that he salvages and reuses components from other jobs, where possible. We do a lot of our own work and Brad has been generous with his time in guiding us. Most of Brad's employees have been very professional and courteous as well. I recommend CSA to all my friends in the area.

My wife and I have used CSA to paint our house and also to partially remodel our bathroom. Though there were some delays with the project, we realize that almost any renovation will mean some delays, so we were generally well pleased with the timelineness of CSA and their ability to deliver to the plan agreed by us mutually before the work began. We were very pleased with the quality of the work, especially with the quality of the customer service. During the execution phase of the project, CSA was in touch with us to elicit our feedback and ask for decisions at the appropriate times. Finally, the cost was very good compared to other contractors. Overall, we were very happy with the contractor's work on this project. We are planning to use CSA to remodel our kitchen later this year. Brad Stearns from CSA has been great about working with us in the planning phase for several reasons. First, he has an obvious passion for old homes and for preserving their character. Our house is 119 years old, and the kitchen shows it. Mr. Stearns has gone so far as to grab old cabinetry and other fixtures from demolition jobs, with our kitchen in mind. Second, he understands the importance of planning. Rather than moving forward in a rush to complete this job, we are spending the time up front to really get the best design, and also to explore risks and possible mitigation strategies. Third, he has been a pleasure to work with - a truly nice and courteous businessman - something that's increasingly a rarity anymore.

My husband and I were looking to hire a general contractor, for an almost complete remodel. We met with a representative from their company, and although he took his time with us, he was extremely pushy, arrogant and condescending. At the time we met with the representative, we had not yet closed on our property, therefore we had a short window to show the property to prospective contractors. Although we had told the company up front that we had a short time window and were “interviewing three contractors, as any unfamiliar, first time, remodeler would do. The representative from this company stormed out when he realized we were "shopping around". He promised us a quote within a week, however after weeks we had still not heard anything. I would sum up my experience with this is company as a disappointing waste of time. I have never written a review before, however we were so offended and dissatisfied from our experience, we wanted to save others from wasting their time and efforts as we did.

I was extremely disappointed with Mr. Stearns worth ethic. He was careless with respect to abiding to time commitments and he always had an excuse for not getting completing what was promised.
