Graphic Designer Intern at CitySquares.com

CitySquares Online, Inc., a growing Internet company in Boston’s South End is seeking to fill multiple internship positions at its South End, Boston headquarters. In this role we are seeking an ambitious intern to fulfill various website quality assurance, testing, and related duties. The intern will be integral to the CitySquares.com website during the course of the internship. You will be trained in HTML, CSS, UI, UX. This position is a wonderful opportunity for an individual to get real-world experience at a fast growing and innovative Internet startup in the local search space. To be considered for this internship you must be meticulous in your attention to detail and take pride in your work. You will work closely with CitySquares team members. Our interns do not run errands, they build careers and resumes! We offer a casual environment and flexible schedules. This particular internship may include the opportunity for a full time position after the internship.

Principal Responsibilities

The work will be varied, but will include:

  • Help build design composition work-flows in Fireworks
  • Cut up graphics into compressed versions for use in web development
  • Work with current CSS and sprites
  • Have an eye for design, UI and UX

Skills and Attributes

  • The ability and willingness to learn quickly on the job
  • Be able to work in a team environment as well as the desire to work independently
  • Working Knowledge of Fireworks
  • Experience with HTML and CSS
  • Deep desire to take charge, learn and think outside the box
  • Knowledge of current web trends
  • You must be able to work at least 3 days per week.
  • Must be results driven and goal-oriented.
  • You must want to work in a fun, casual, and innovative environment where hard work and achievement is recognized and rewarded
