I am writing this letter of recommendation on behalf of Coach Ryan Pryor. I have known Ryan for over a year and have had an opportunity to coach with him on 3 different occasions. I have also used Ryan for private lessons for my two sons, ages 7 and 8. In working with Ryan, both as a coach and a parent, I have learned a great deal about the fundamentals of baseball. More importantly, he has been able to effectively communicate these fundamentals to both of my sons. While having been coached by Ryan during the regular season and also with the aid of his private instruction, both boys were selected to the All Star team this year. This interaction with Ryan was instrumental in improving the boys’ skills as they had never been chosen for All Stars before. Ryan has been able to break down baseball fundamentals into simple steps which make learning easier for young player. I have witnessed this not only with my own boys, but also with the other players Ryan has come in contact with during developmental Division AA Fall Ball, recreational Division AA Spring Ball, and competitive Division AA All Star tournament play.
Ryan has also recorded some training DVD’s which review his fundamentals and also break down his hitting and pitching drills step by step. This has allowed me to continue my boys’ training at home after our private sessions are over. With this multimedia approach, Ryan has helped to expedite my children’s baseball development.
I am honored to know and coach with Ryan because he has demonstrated a genuine passion and sincere desire to share his knowledge of baseball with all he comes in contact with. I know that I am a better coach because of his efforts and he has elevated the playing ability of my two boys.
He has volunteered countless hours advancing the baseball skills of many players in our local organization without having any of his own children on the team. I have also worked side by side with him in helping to repair field conditions at our local baseball fields. He has clearly demonstrated his skill and knowledge of baseball and his willingness to share his experience for the improvement of the community.
