About us
Scott Forman, MD is an Associate Clinical Ophthalmologist specializing in adult and pediatric neuro-ophthalmology.
With more than three decades of experience, Dr. Forman has cared for patients with complex neuro-ophthalmic disorders while also training medical students and residents at New York Medical College, where he served as Director of Neuro-ophthalmology at Westchester Medical Center. He has published extensively in leading medical journals and is co-author of Neuro-ophthalmology Problem-Solving: A Practical and User-Friendly Guide, a widely used reference for physicians. A graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook and Rutgers University, Dr. Forman earned his medical degree at UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He completed his ophthalmology residency at New York Medical College, serving as Chief Resident at Westchester Medical Center, followed by fellowship training in neuro-ophthalmology at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital under Drs. Myles Behrens and Jeffrey Odel. In addition to his clinical and academic expertise, Dr. Forman incorporates functional medicine and nutritional biochemistry into patient care, offering a holistic approach to vision and overall health. He currently sees patients at Belchertown Eye Care and holds hospital privileges at Cooley Dickinson Hospital. Outside of medicine, he enjoys playing jazz and blues guitar, swimming, and bicycling.
