Shahrooz Rashtak, MD, is a board-certified gastroenterologist with advanced expertise in interventional endoscopy for diagnosing and treating complex gastrointestinal conditions. He’s highly skilled in endoscopic ultrasound, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, endoscopic mucosal resection, and minimally invasive techniques for pancreaticobiliary diseases and gastrointestinal cancers. 
He is also an assistant professor of interventional gastroenterology at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston and the director of endoscopy at Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital. 
He has a strong background in clinical research, including a master’s degree in clinical and translational research from the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. His research contributions have been widely published in leading gastroenterology journals, and he actively participates in advancing the field of endoscopic innovation and patient care. He received the Physician of the Year Award in 2024 from Memorial Hermann Health System.
