At the Steeplechase Veterinary Hospital, our goal is to provide compassionate care and communication with our clients in order to improve our patients' care. Dr. Tonya Amiri is the primary veterinarian. We are a full-service animal clinic and training facility located in Cumming, GA, just north of Atlanta off of GA-400, one mile west of Exit 13. State-of-the-art Medicine: We utilize digital x-ray and color-flow doppler ultrasound as non-invasive methods to assist in diagnoses. Digital x-ray allows for instant results, fewer retakes, and less overall radiation exposure for your pet. Our in-house laboratory allows for us to get faster results, when needed. This can lead to a more prompt diagnosis, more immediate treatment, and a faster recovery for your pet. And should your pet need a procedure or surgery, we perform pre-anesthetic bloodwork right on the premises. This, along with careful monitoring by our registered technicians, allows your pet to have a smooth procedure and recovery. Preventative Care: We routinely use only USDA-approved three-year vaccines, called Continuum, for our canine and feline patients. This not only relieves the stress on their system, but actually allows their bodies to mount a better immune response. That is why we recommend routine screenings for your pet throughout their life, and more so as they age. Early detection of some diseases can lead to better treatment options and preventive measures. Compassionate Care: Our focus on pain management allows for faster healing through a decrease in inflammation, and less physiologic, as well as psychologic, stress on your pet to help keep them happy and healthy during their healing. Animal Behavior Center: Its mission is to enhance the relationship between pets and their owners through training pets and educating owners. Dr. Ashley Owens fully understands behavioral issues that some pets have, and she has the expertise to deal with them humanely and with compassion, while doing her utmost to help alleviate their underlying fears.
