Despite the very low rents, do yourself a favor and don't move here. The buildings have thin walls, you can hear everything your upstairs neighbor does. I can also hear the neighbors on either side of me in the adjoining buildings. In terms of the people .. some people have been very nice, many are not. It's what you'd expect to attract with such low rents.
