Darwin's LTD

The Darwin's I frequent is the one on Cambridge Street, east of Harvard Yard. It is often busy, and rightly so. Their huge sandwich menu is supplemented daily with three specials, always including one vegetarian one. Good meats, good sauces, good salads, decent service. My favorite is their Sumner (all sandwiches named after local streets), an egg salad with avocado, tomato and lettuce. Check out the daily soups on your way past the cashier, especially on cool rainy days. They come up with some pretty tasty and sometimes unusual combinations.
