Taking advantage of the neighborhood’s predominantly low-rise surroundings, Selldorf’s taller, slender twenty two-story building is set back on a podium, amplifying light and views of the city for its residents while bringing sunlight to the podium garden and streets below, the buff-colored exterior and the crisply-defined inset casement windows are a contemporary translation of the limestone-faced prewar apartment buildings of the neighborhood.
