A New Direction is a sector of CDI - a leading and certified FMS (Financial Management Service) provider. With award-winning excellence, CDI is one of the main proponents and leader of participant direction in Minnesota. CDI is committed to advocating and supporting individuals and families who want the authority to self-direct and control their services, rather than relying on a traditional agency. We support individuals in their selection and hiring of workers they know and trust; they set worker pay rates and schedules. CDI comes alongside to serve as the employer agent by paying workers and handling employment paperwork and payroll reporting and bookkeeping.
