Aanand D. Naik, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained geriatrician dedicated to advancing healthy aging through comprehensive, patient-centered care. He combines the latest medical advancements with a holistic approach, helping older adults manage complex health conditions while navigating the health care system with confidence. His clinical interests include geriatric medicine, complexity and frailty management, and promoting healthy aging across various populations.
Naik serves as the Nancy P. and Vincent F. Guinee, MD, Distinguished Chair in gerontology and executive director of the UTHealth Houston Institute on Aging. He is also a professor of medicine in the Joan and Stanford Alexander Division of Geriatric and Palliative Medicine at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston and chair of the Department of Management, Policy, and Community Health at UTHealth Houston School of Public Health.
 
From 2004 to 2022, Naik practiced geriatrics and internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine and the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center. He now provides care through UT Physicians, the clinical practice of McGovern Medical School.
