Formerly known as St. Mary's High School. The building was built in the 30's and renovated into apartments in 1983. The building has much of it's original woodwork and character. Academy Park is listed on the National Register of Historical Places. There are 20 one-bedroom apartments (two are handicap accessible) and eight two bedroom apartments. Controlled entrance access, off street parking, elevator, and coin operated laundry on the main floor. This building is close to downtown and a local park and swimming pool. The building is funded by Rural Development, rent is based on 30% of gross income. Garages are also available. Rent includes heat, water and garbage collection. Resident must pay electricity, phone and/or cable. A utility allowance is granted at this building.
