Dr. Darby was born and raised in Sunderland, England, and attended Durham University where he received a Bachelor of Science honors degree in Environmental Sciences. He received his medical degree from St Georges University School of Medicine as part of the Global Scholars partnership with Northumbria University in Newcastle England.
