About us
Adam M. Freedhand, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in total joint reconstruction with an emphasis on minimally invasive surgical techniques, including direct anterior hip replacement and partial and total knee replacement. He utilizes technologies such as robot-assisted surgery and computer navigation to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Freedhand is also an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. He’s actively involved in training future total joint surgeons, sharing his expertise with residents and post-graduate physician education. Passionate about developing patient-centric pathways and protocols to optimize the joint replacement experience, his research focus is the design of instruments used in minimally invasive joint replacement procedures of the hip and knee.
