Aluminum is a family / employee owned and run company founded in 1989 by James Smith. Today the company is a major supplier of metal roofing and siding panels for residential, industrial and agricultural building projects.

Roofing material distributors, roofing contractors, homeowners, farmers and developers all count on Advanced Aluminum for quality metal roofing panels and siding panels. Metal Roofing and Metal Siding Panels like R-Panels, PBR-Panels, Rib Panels, Ag Panels, High Rib Panels, Twin Rib, Corrugated, Box Rib, Dutch Lap, Pro Lap and 4” step-down are all produced in our facilities. Custom Trim Components are available in both steel and aluminum in a large variety of colors and galvalum finish.

Advanced Aluminum has 2 facilities, one located in Lakeland, FL and one in Fitzgerald, GA. They sell their metal roofing and siding products throughout the Southeast. With a total of nearly 130,000 sq. ft of fabrication floor and a huge inventory of roll coil materials in many finishes they are able to turn around custom orders in much less time than similar metal roofing producers.

Our in-house “Advantage” Panels are very popular and versatile with their 3/4” rib on 9” centers available in 36” coverage. R-Panels and PBR-Panels offer a deeper profile with a 1 1/4” rib on 12” centers with 36” coverage - and both are available in lengths up to 48 feet! of all types in steel and aluminum is available in wide color selection in both 26 and 29 gauge steel or aluminum. Another very popular product is our “Permatile” roofing, exclusively produced by Advanced Aluminum. Permatile roofing is an attractive, long run, lightweight and long-lasting metal tile system. It is ideally suited for various applications and all weather conditions. Very specialized roll-forming machines are able to produce an imitation tile metal roofing panel that gives an amazing deep relief look to any roof. These Permatile roofs have been used on homes, hotels, commercial and retail buildings. The architectural relief looks very much like a classic Mediterranean tile without the tremendous weight of real clay. This beautiful product is a favorite of builders and designers throughout Florida, Georgia and Alabama. Plus, the steel Permatile product has a Trinar Paint System 35 year color warranty and the aluminum Permatile product has a Fluropon Paint System 25 year color warranty. Cracked tiles are always a problem that requires extensive repair when traditional clay tile is used, but with our look-alike tile metal roofing panels there is little or no maintenance required.

Custom trim is typically a part of most any roofing or building project that use metal panels and they are fabricated to fit each project. Roofing or siding projects may require several types of trim made to custom specifications using our 14’ and 20’ folders. Common metal trim pieces include drip edge, eave rake, end wall, gable, fascia, ridge cap, wall flashing, outside corner, side wall, j-channel and w-valley pieces.

In addition to a long service life, metal is a resilient material that is also a strong match for extreme weather conditions, which is especially important in the South East US. Both the Aluminum and Steel are green products, made from recycled materials.
