About us
Aldea Montessori is an Association Montessori Internationale (AMI)-accredited school in North Phoenix that nurtures and educates children ages 18 months through 6 years (Preschool thru Kindergarten) in the tradition of Dr. Maria Montessori. “Aldea” is the Spanish word for “little village,” which describes the atmosphere in our environment. Through consistent and loving examples, our children learn independence and interdependence, each becoming a member of the village. They learn to accept responsibility as a member of the community. Our administration and staff, who together represent dozens of years of Montessori teaching experience, work together with parents to create the village. We share common values and assumptions of what we expect from a learning environment and what we intend for the children to achieve.
