Dr. Alejandro Haag earned his medical degree from Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia. He completed his first residency in Internal Medicine at the Central Military Hospital in Bogota, Colombia, his Fellowship in Medical Microbiology and Parasitology at the Pontificia Universidad Bolivariana in Medellín, Colombia, and his residency in Family Medicine at East Carolina University.

For a significant portion of his professional career, Dr. Haag was actively engaged in International Humanitarian work, including serving as Medical Director for FXB International, a Swiss-based Non-Profit Organization, actively engaged in Humanitarian efforts to improve the lives of low-income communities around the world in the context of Health and Human Rights.
