About us
Dr. Michael specializes in spinal neurosurgery and brain tumor surgery. He emphasizes conservative treatment when possible and forms an individualized treatment centered on the needs and goals of each patient. If surgery is indicated, he favors the latest minimally invasive techniques. He is chair of the public affairs committee for the North American Spine Society and was awarded 20 under 40 in spine care by SpineLine magazine. He is a professional advisor for the Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis. He has garnered recognition for his numerous publications, book chapters and award-winning presentations on spine surgery and brain tumor surgery.
