Alexander Wessel, MD, specializes in orthopedic trauma surgery, providing treatment for conditions including fractures, arthritis and musculoskeletal pain. With a deep commitment to the patient care and recovery process, Dr. Wessel dedicates himself to empowering each and every patient with the respect, knowledge and insights needed to guide the treatment plan to its best possible outcome. His philosophy is to provide all patients with the same level of care that he would desire for his own family, listening carefully to their needs, whether it is related to their injury or not. Dr. Wessel’s expertise includes procedures for fracture fixation and hip arthroplasty.

Dr. Wessel earned his medical degree from Indiana University, followed by an orthopedic residency program at University of Missouri, Columbia. He then went on to complete a fellowship in orthopedic trauma surgery at University of California, Davis.

When not treating patients, Dr. Wessel enjoys mountaineering, backpacking, camping and exploring the outdoors.
