About us
I serve as the vice chair of faculty development in the University of Florida Department of Surgery. I have completed a surgical education research fellowship, have won university-wide and national teaching awards, and have been named an Outstanding Alumni of Texas A&M College of Medicine in 2016 and Distinguished Master Educator by the Association for Surgical Education in 2019. My research interests are focused on education, clinical outcomes and the use of technology to enhance surgical education and patient care. I earned my bachelor's in political science at Texas A&M University, where I subsequently received my medical degree after earning my master's in political science at the University of Colorado.
