About us
Amanda Thate, PA-C, is physician assistant practitioner with the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at University Hospitals. She specializes in shoulder and knee orthopedics problems. She has a special interest in working with athletes but treats patients of all ages. She assists John Martin Leland, MD, in surgeries including shoulder and knee arthroscopy, rotator cuff repairs, labral repairs, shoulder replacements, ACL reconstructions and meniscus surgery. Prior to working at University Hospitals, Thate worked in central Illinois as a sports medicine orthopedic physician assistant. She is a member of the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and a member of American Academy of Orthopedics.
