Dr. Amer Karam is a board-certified, fellowship-trained gynecologic surgeon and clinical professor in the Stanford Medicine Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Division of Gynecology Oncology. He specializes in gynecologic oncology, hospice and palliative care, hereditary gynecologic cancers, laparoscopic and robotic gynecologic surgery, and obstetrics and gynecology.Dr. Karam attended medical school at the American University in Beirut. He completed his internship and residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, before completing a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the University of California Los Angeles and a fellowship in breast surgery at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
