My Thanksgiving Nightmare
Each year for the past 7 years I have traveled to Reston, Virginia to celebrate a wonderful national pastime, Thanksgiving. When I visit Reston I am amazed at how wonderful the area is, with its master planned communities in close proximity to nature, evidenced by the fact that I can walk with my golden from my sister's townhome onto hiking trails that wind through the area's hills for miles in either direction while in relative solitude. Each year I spend Black Friday playing a golf match with my father and I against my brother-in-law and his father. We then join up with the wives and kids and head to Reston Town Center, with the losers wearing funny hats, for the lighting of the Christmas Tree and the singing of carols. It is a memorable day, one that am thankful for each year.
