As a therapist, I believe creating a safe and comfortable environment for my clients is one of the most important aspects of counseling. I facilitate this through a nonjudgmental approach that promotes understanding and acceptance which allows my clients to work through challenges to accomplish their goals and objectives. I’ve worked extensively with children and adolescents in schools. I’ve also worked with young and middle-aged adults in a private office setting. I coach my clients to live their best lives and be the best version of themselves.

I earned my Masters in Professional Counseling from Amberton University in Garland, Texas. I also earned a School Counseling degree from there as well. I started my undergraduate studies at Mississippi State University where I received my Bachelor’s degree in History. I continued in education and received my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Mississippi. It has always been within me to serve others. Whether it is through education or counseling, I’m committed to helping clients remove obstacles to happiness so that they can lead a happy and fulfilling life.

While working with clients, I exhibit respect, authenticity, genuineness, empathy, acceptance and unconditional positive regard. One approach of my counseling style includes setting goals with my clients. I utilize a variety of different approaches to guide my client’s journey, such as Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic Approach, Life-Coaching, Mindfulness, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. I also enjoy trying new techniques that incorporate a custom approach to each client.

I balance my work life with relaxing time with my two daughters, walking, reading daily devotionals and listening to inspirational speakers. My favorite past time has been learning about aroma therapy. I love nature and plan to begin a small garden. I really enjoy trying new food and the experience of traveling and meeting new people.
