About us

Dr. Ermarth is an Assistant Professor in Pediatrics working within the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology. She practices general gastroenterology and endoscopy for pediatric patients at Primary Children"s Hospital in Salt Lake and Riverton locations. Her residency and fellowship was completed at University of Utah/Primary Children"s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, and she earned her medical degree from University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas.She is a provider in the Nutrition Center which gives comprehensive nutrition care. She has particular clinical interest in celiac disease and inflammatory bowel disease. Given her general pediatrics training at the Teen Mom Clinic in South Salt Lake, she has experience in adolescent health, with interests in inflammatory bowel disease, functional chronic abdominal pain and disordered eating for these patients. She believes in understanding all medical, environmental and psychosocial elements of a patient that may contribute to patient symptoms or decreased quality of life. She has research interests in endoscopic and clinical quality improvement, including overseeing a unique clinic of former NICU patients who qualify for early hospital discharge due to feeding disorders. She also teaches medical students, residents and fellows at the School of Medicine. She appreciates a safe, thoughtful approach to medicine and avoids excessive tests or procedures when clinically possible.
